Full Description
January 1946. RAF air photograph.
Shows sub-rectangular ditched enclosure with various enclosures to north, west and south including a possible causeway to west and south, abutting the main enclosure, which has an entrance on east arm.
September 1998.
Area has been ploughed and re-seeded with grass. The main enclosure is still visible as a raised platform (0.3m high)
making the whole an L-shape. Shallow depression joins south-west corner from south, but no other convincing features remain. Small for a moat, a possible toft.
One small fragment medieval roofing tile on surface of platform.
See (S1).
B. Cushion (NLA) 14 September 1998.
