Summary

This is an underground monitoring post used by the Royal Observer Corps (ROC) during the Cold War. Its function was to monitor the spread of fallout in the event of nuclear attack. It was closed down in 1991, but is still intact. A World War Two ROC aircraft observation post stands nearby.
