Summary

The round flint tower of this church is Early Norman with a later brick parapet . It has three bell openings two of which have been cut out of single slabs of stone to most unusual designs. Long-and-short west quoins to nave. The nave roof was rebuilt in 1881. The south door way and y-traceried windows date to around 1300 . The chancel was rebuilt later in the Middle Ages. Roman, Late Saxon and medieval pot, prehistoric worked flint flakes and a 3rd century AD Roman coin have been found in the churchyard.
