Full Description
May 2001. Thatched cottage, 22 Bunwell Street.
Unusual timber framed house.
Probable 15th century hall house of three cells on cross passage plan, no upper floors, service partition only half height.
Upper floors, stack and windows inserted in early 16th century.
Chimneystack extended late 17th.
Ritual deposit of shoe and wooden needle in stack.

17th century house. Plastered timber frame on brick plinth. Thatched roof with half hipped ends. Brick chimneystack. Later one storey wing on east end.
