Full Description
October-November 2002. Metal-detecting.
Within area of cropmarks (NHER 13019):
1 Roman pottery sherd. Truly massive sherd of Roman amphora, hard reduced with pink surfaces (weighing 1.544kg, measuring maximum 260 x maximum 200mm, average 18mm thick).

February-March 2005. Metal-detecting.
Found in middle of field:
1 Mesolithic or Early Neolithic flint blade core.
6 undatable prehistoric blade-like flint flakes, 1 retouched/utilised flake and 14 unmodified flakes.
3 Roman pottery sherds (additional large amphora sherds).
Flints identified by P. Robins (NCM) and pottery by A. Rogerson (NLA). See list and descriptions in file. These discoveries were reported in (S1).
