A series of linear earthworks surviving within the wood, possibly representing former boundarys or enclosures, and dating to the medieval or post medieval periods.

Nut Wood:
Fragments of linear features include a spread bank, probably corresponding in part to a feature on (S1). A short section of ditch, straddling the western boundary.
The features noted give no convincing pointers towards an early origin for the woodland.
