Full Description
June 1980. 'Found by labourers when digging in a little plantation'
Chipped flint axe.
Copper alloy palstave.
Copper alloy spearhead with loops on (socket 124mm long, 50mm max width).
See (S1).
All said to be in NCM but palstave and axe not so.
Spearhead was in Threxton House Collection 1853 and came from there to NCM (in (S2)).
f2 of (S1) certainly illustrates the above spearhead but f10 illustrates a ?Stibbard spearhead but with the Carbrooke information repeated. Compare NHER 8814 for confusions over attributions in this manuscript.
E. B. Green (NCM).
