Summary

In 1962 a Roman wall was found during drain digging at this location. Building material recovered included bricks, flue tiles and roof tiles. Assessments of the historic aerial photographs for this site revealed no convincing traces of any cropmarks relating to underlying walls, although see NHER 58611 for possible features recorded in this area. Although it must be noted that these features mapped are of uncertain archaeological origin and may relate to relatively recent activity within the field.
