Description
Correspondence and enclosed research document relating to England's 16th century beacon system. The letter sets out proposals to reinstate England's 16th century beacon system as part of the 400th anniversary commemorations of the Great Armada on 19th July 1988 called 'Fire Over England'. Research undertaken for the 'Fire Over England'. Enclosed with the letter is the Norfolk research document for the 'Fire Over England' project detailing Norfolk's 15 beacons.
