"John Adey Repton, Esq. F.S.A. exhibited to the Society two ancient Instruments for catching a thief...They were found among a collection of old iron from Aylsham Bridewell in Norfolk, which is now no longer used as a prison, in consequence of the late enlargement of Norwich castle.".
