Summary

Extension work to the rear of Currys discovered a medieval well. This well contained a number of medieval and post medieval pottery sherds and clay pipes and other similar finds were found across the site.

1973. Extension to Curry's shop at rear.
Unstratified medieval and post medieval pottery and clay pipes (including lead glazed earthenware, tin glazed, and Grimston Wares).
Well: medieval and post medieval pottery and clay pipes (lead glazed earthenware, black glazed, English and imported slipware, tin glazed (including tile), Westerwald stoneware).
Finds held by NCM.

1973. Extension to rear.
Four medieval sherds (one Grimston green glazed) from spoil.
One medieval glazed jug sherd and Delft sherd from hole at north end of site (not seen W. Milligan (NCM)).
Two lead glazed earthenware, one Delft sherd, one late pipe bowl undated.
3.1m (10ft) deep ?well (?cess pit) on slope.
Finds including slipware dish, fluted bowl, Staffordshire combed ware, Delft, salt glazed stoneware, clay pipes.
