Summary

Construction work here in 1973 recovered two Late Saxon pottery sherds, one medieval sherd and half a post medieval delft tile.

Two Late Saxon sherds (including one rim), one medieval sherd, half delft tile, all from spoil.

1976.
Investigation of subsidence in courtyard behind 21 Pottergate revealed considerable depth of made up ground (about 2m) that had already been noted by workmen on the north part of the site.
