Full Description
1894. 'Found in Priest's Court, Rampant Horse Street, Norwich … 6ft below surface in making cellar' (on label).
15th century grey unglazed jug, 17cm high. 14th century decorated green-glazed Grimston Ware jug.
N.B. There is no 'Priest's Court' listed in any Kellys. There is a Priest's Terrace off St Stephen's Road listed in Eyre Bros
Directory, 1883, p.174.
Therefore a provenance unsure. On balance likely to be somewhere on Rampant Horse Street as this seems a difficult name to confuse.
Finds held by NCM.
