Summary

Sporadic metal-detecting between 1991 and 2017 recovered a Neolithic/Bronze Age flint flake; undated copper alloy and lead metalworking debris; Roman, Middle Saxon, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval jetton and a range of other Late Iron Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Iron Age brooch; a Roman brooch, key handle and mirror fragment; a possible unfinished Roman pendant; an Early Saxon girdle hanger; a Middle Saxon brooch fragment; Late Saxon bridle cheek piece and stirrup-strap mount; Late Saxon/medieval lead weights; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories (including a medieval silver annular brooch); a medieval lead weight; a medieval/post-medieval knife end cap, copper alloy vessel fragments and iron padlock fragment and a post-medieval sword-belt fitting, thimble, belt or harness mount and lead cloth seals.
