Map

About 1974.
City Council tip.
Found on tip, east of Mile Cross Road, and north of River Wensum, where rubble from building sites in the city, and material from excavations in the Wensum Marshes had been dumped.
Roman bronze coin. Constantine I, (S1) Volume vii, London 289, AD 323 to 4.
Identified by A. Gregory (NCM) January 1978.

Informant is incorrect. Site at 218099 as originally indicated is Andersons Meadow Park and has not been a rubbish tip at least since 1974, and probably never. But main Corporation rubbish tip is to west at grid reference. Informant probably meant east of ring road bridge, not Mile Cross bridge.
E. Rose (NLA), 20 July 1992.
