Map

22 July 1996. NLA aerial photography.
Cropmarks of linear features visible.
However, many field boundaries marked on the 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey map (S1) can also be seen as cropmarks, which together with geological 'noise' is causing some confusion on image.
H. Clare (NLA) 10 January 2002.

February 2008. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks and cropmarks of medieval to post medieval field boundaries are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S4). A group of rectilinear enclosures, pits, ponds and field boundaries are present as cropmarks to the southeast of the present settlement of Runcton Holme. Many of the cropmarks correspond to field boundaries marked on the second edition 25 inch to the mile Ordnance Survey map (S1) and some were still extant in 1946 (S6). Other ditch cropmarks, possibly relating to earlier boundaries, are also present. It is likely that all of the cropmarks in this group are of medieval to post medieval date.
J. Albone (NMP), 22 February 2008.
