Map

December 2002. Norfolk NMP.
The feature is relatively small with a maximum diameter of 12m (S1). The ditch has a maximum width of 1.8m. The feature appears to be a positive cropmark visible within a field of grass, although it cannot be discounted that this is a trampled area caused by animal or human disturbance on the ground surface. The purpose of the feature is unknown. The site is probably too small to represent the quarry for a mound or mill, but may represent an agricultural or military feature. This location would have been saltmarsh until the 18th century and an earlier date for the feature seems unlikely, but cannot be ruled out.
M. Brennand (NMP), 16 December 2002.
