Map

October 2002. Norfolk 2002. Norfolk NMP.
The features are visible (S1) as three sub-rounded to irregular light cropmarks centred on TF 6029 2110, TF 6035 2107 and TF 6042 2109. The largest mound measures 64m X 94m. The three features are closely set, with a narrow dark line separating each mound, that may be a canalised channel or ditch. The southern edge of the mounds appears to be formed by the course of a meandering channel.
There are groups of saltern mounds to south-west and south that are, on the evidence of field-walking finds, likely to be medieval in date, and it is probable that these features are also medieval.
M. Brennand (NMP), 4 October 2002.
