Map

December 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of undated triple linear ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3179 3140. Three parallel ditches extend for up to 280m between TG 3173 3127 and TG 3184 3153. The outer ditches are almost continuous, but the central ditch is intermittent. These ditches are not marked on the 1827 Edingthorpe enclosure map (S2). It is possible that they represent a multiple ditched field or other boundary ditch. The alignment of the ditches is roughly parallel with the Bacton (formerly Edingthorpe) and Witton parish boundary which lies 330m to the east and is also represented by a triple ditch cropmark (NHER 39028).
