Full Description
December 2004. Norfolk Rapid Coastal Zone Archaeological Survey.
Land-based survey; Area A71, Context 1:
A series of mounds and hollows were identified between TG 02866 44486 and TG 02862 44385. These may indicate saltworking or brickmaking, although it seems more probable that these are the result of infilling of former channels and/or dredging. The area is labelled Brick Marsh and Bank Marsh on a map of 1769.
See assessment report (S1) for further details.
The associated archive has been deposited with the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2017.421).
A. Cattermole (NLA), 5 December 2007. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 21 July 2019.
