Full Description
March 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A small, sub rectangular enclosure is visible as a cropmark on an aerial photograph (S1), centred at TG 4666 1745. Its date and function are not known. Although it is visible on only one aerial photograph, the cropmark is convincing as an archaeological feature. The south side of the enclosure is formed by, or closely adjacent to, a linear ditch (part of NHER 27464) which may have been a contemporary feature. The ditch is also undated.
The enclosure is sub rectangular in shape and measures 15.5m long and 10.5m wide. It should be noted that due to a lack of suitable control points the photograph could not be rectified fully and this may have affected the accuracy of the mapping.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 21 March 2006.
