Summary

This barn and attached stock houses date to 1797, and are constructed of flint with random brick and brick quoins. The five-bay barn has a pantile roof and two full-height opposing doors to each side, partly replaced with corrugated iron. The stock houses are both single-storied, with hipped roofs, and the north range has weatherboarding on the south face. The south range has eight bays of open stock shelters, and an enclosing brick wall runs southeast from the outshut of the barn, returning to form a closed yard with the stock houses.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Barn with two attached stock houses. Dated 1797. Flint with random brick and brick quoins. Pantiled roofs.
Exterior: five-bay barn with two full-height opposing doors to each side, partly replaced with corrugated iron. Slit ventilation lights. Dentil eaves cornice. Gabled roof. Outshut against south gable wall. Stock houses both single-storied, with hipped roofs. North range has weatherboarding to south face. South range with eight bays of open stock shelters. Interior: barn roof of tie beams and two tiers of purlins. Internal brick partitions. Enclosing brick wall runs south-east from outshut of barn, returning to form closed yard with stock houses."
