Summary

The cropmarks of undated ditches, possibly relating to a rectilinear enclosure of Roman or medieval in date, are visible on aerial photographs to the east of Downham Road, Watlington. The archaeological nature of these ditches is uncertain due to the predominance of geological cropmarks in this area, which make the confident identification of archaeological cropmarks problematic.
