Full Description
Old gravel road seen from air by H.T. Green 1934, TL 8885 8478 to TL 8872 8430, continues line of Green Lane, which may be an old trackway branching from main Icknield Way at Fords, called Clover Lane in 1837.
R.R. Clarke (NCM).
This is the trackway that caused 19th century antiquarians to argue that the Icknield way went to Norwich, see NHER 1396.
E. Rose (NLA), 11 November 2005.
