Full Description
June 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A possible ring ditch, perhaps marking the site of a Bronze Age round barrow, is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1), centred at TG 2369 0586. The site lies in an area of dense prehistoric ceremonial/funerary activity, close to the cropmarks of a Bronze Age linear barrow cemetery (NHER 52302). It is, however, not entirely convincing as an archaeological feature, and could instead be a fungus ring.
The ring ditch is roughly circular in plan and measures approximately 10.5m in diameter.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 29 June 2010.
