Original site of diesel pumping station now relocated upriver (NHER 61428) The installation was built in 1940-41 and housed in a steel clad building erected by Barnes and Pye. The engines worked until 1984 when they were replaced by a new automatic electric pump. In 2003, the whole installation was rebuilt upriver as part of a Flood Alleviation project.
