Map

November 2017. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A railway siding, of possible Second World War date, and a possible Second World War military site, are visible as earthworks, structures, areas of disturbed ground and recent tracks on 1940s aerial photographs (S1)-(S2). The structural elements have been mapped but the other activity has been mapped only by extent. The site could have been used for military training, or for activity relating to the railway siding. Further possible Second World War military activity is visible to the south of the main railway line (NHER 62116). Imagery from a recent lidar survey (S3) suggests that parts of the site still survive as earthworks.
