Summary

A late 17th century brick and flint-lined cess pit containing, amongst other material, fragments of medieval pottery and a post medieval clay pipe stem, was found in 1984 after a workman fell in it.

Late 17th century brick and flint lined cess pit. Rectangular with adits on all sides. Repaired in 19th century.
Grimston green glaze sherd and one clay pipe stem.
