Medieval pottery sherds recovered on two separate occasions during construction work undertaken in 1967. The precise location of these discoveries is not recorded.

1967. Stray Find.
Medieval pottery sherds found in spoil from sewer trench. Approximate grid reference given by (S1) (TG 2363 0796), location described as Rouen Road/King Street Area. Pottery held by the NCM (NWHCM : 1968.311 : A, incorrectly listed as from NHER 254).

1967. Stray Find.
Part of rim of a 14th- to 15th-century pitcher. According to (S2) this was found during road works. The location of this discovery is however somewhat uncertain, although (S1) gives the same grid reference as that listed for the finds described above. This find is also held by the NCM (NWHCM : 1967.779 : A, also incorrectly listed as from NHER 254).
