June 2005. Desk-based Assessment.
Assessment of archaeological potential of 59-65 King Street.
There is a high potential for important archaeological features and deposits to survive below the building which presently occupies the site, notwithstanding the possibility that the street frontage has been truncated during excavatons for cellars. These features and deposits are likely to date from the later 10th century through to the mid 20th century.
