Summary

In 1988 a Palaeolithic flint Levallois blade was recovered at a depth of approximately 2.5m. A dubious stained flake was also found. The circumstances of these discoveries are not known.

Spring 1988. Stray Find.
Found approximately 8 ft [2.5m] down river terrace:
1 Palaeolithic flint Levallois blade.
1 ?Palaeolithic doubtful, stained flint flake and 1 doubtful flake.
Identified by J. Wymer (NAU), 11 May 1988 and compiled by W. Milligan (NCM), 17 May 1988.

The Levallois blade is described and sketched on (S2). It is also noted in (S3) and (S4), although no additional information is given.
