In 1966 Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery sherds, as well as a human skull were recovered from spoil heaps on a building site off Stepping Lane.

1966. Found on spoil heaps on building site. Off Stepping Lane.
Greyware, green glaze, salt glaze stoneware and one sherd of Roman mortaria?
Human skull also found - not accessed.
