Summary

The soilmarks of former bank and ditches which formed the boundary or park pale of the Oxehaghe medieval deer park are visible on aerial photographs and historic maps. See NHER 52767 for further details of the deer park.

22 March 1972. Ordnance Survey Aerial Photographs ref 72 034 098 (scale 1/7000).
Soilmarks.
Bank and ditches delineated by soilmarks on line of suggested boundary; extending it to TM 1130 9950, thus joining lane continuing line to TM 1176 9990.

The soilmarks of a bank and multiple-dicth section of the Deer Park boundary, running between TM 1131 9953 to TM 1174 9896, are visible on aerial photographs (S3-S5). The southern section of these soilmarks leads into boundaries marked on the 1839 Tithe map (S6).
