Full Description
27 April 2000. Desk-based Assessment and Walkover Survey.
Assessment of implications of proposed flood defence improvements on the River Nar.
Found during walkover survey on 'island' being exposed by erosion of peat:
1 prehistoric flint flake and 1 'pot boiler'.

The prehistoric flake and pot boiler may be related to a possible prehistoric burnt mound a short distance to the east recorded as NHER 23625.
A watching brief was carried out after this desk-based assessment. The results of this work are recorded under NHER 36213 and 36214.
